Architecture & Design

Inaugurated in 1910, Savoy Hotel is one of the most architecturally significant hotels in Buenos Aires. Its facade, of a striking work of neo-baroque architecture, was the creation of renowned Italian architect G. Agostini and represents as few hotels can, Buenos Aires’s turn-of-the-century aspiration to create a refined and sophisticated downtown address for discerning local and international travellers. For the hotel’s 100th anniversary in 2010, it was refurbished to preserve and celebrate its original design and architecture while seamlessly infusing the modern comfort and technological amenities today’s traveller expects.
